Small tools, sharp edges, no nonsense.

Why another tools site?

Most tools sites are buried in ads and trackers. Ours aren't.

Runs in your browser

Every tool is written in plain JavaScript and runs locally. Your text, files, and passwords never leave the page.

No sign-up, no limits

We don't ask for an email, set a quota, or paywall the "pro" version. There is no pro version. The tools are the product.

Light by design

Pages are typically under 50 KB, work on slow connections, and don't load heavy third-party scripts.

Honest documentation

Every tool comes with a short guide explaining what it does, when to use it, and where it fails. No fluff, no SEO padding.

A note from the maker

Made because the alternatives kept getting worse.

Search "json formatter" and you'll land on a page with three banner ads, a pop-up, and a tool that breaks on inputs over 5 KB. stoolme is the simple alternative — a clean page, a working tool, and a short guide. That's it.

The site is built and maintained by a small independent team. We add a tool roughly every two weeks based on what people ask for on our contact page. If a tool you use is missing or broken, we'd genuinely like to hear about it.

Quick questions

Is stoolme really free?

Yes. There is no paid tier, no usage cap, and no sign-up. The site is supported by a small number of non-intrusive ads and that's it.

Do my files or text get uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens in your browser using JavaScript. You can verify this by opening the developer network tab — you'll see no outgoing requests when you click a tool button.

Can I use the tools offline?

Once a tool page has loaded in your browser, it generally works offline. You'll lose access to fonts and shared assets, but the tool itself will run.

Can I suggest a new tool?

Please do. The contact page has a short form, or you can email us. Most of the catalog started as a reader request.
